OnePlus has not provided any details about the screen size and the operating system of the upcoming TV model. But, the company has mentioned the presence of new technologies along with artificial intelligence. Lau stated, “For most of us, there are four major environments we experience each day: the home, the workplace, the commute, and being on-the-move. The home – perhaps the most important environment experience – is just starting to enjoy the benefits of intelligent connectivity. Something that seems as simple as displaying the photos from your mobile phone to a television is still difficult to achieve. With the development of AI technology, our imagination is endless – and we are looking forward to the future.”
On one talk with Business Insider, Lau disclosed that OnePlus TV will be launched next year and the firm is completely focusing on design, image quality, and sound.
To launch its first TV, one Plus has given the position of TV product manager to Stephen L. The firm is internally referring to the TV as OnePlus TV. OnePlus has opened registration window for proposed names which is opened till October 16 and 10 best entries will be selected on October 31. All the 10 finalists will receive OnePlus Bullets Wireless worth Rs 3,990 for free. OnePlus will declare winners by December 17. Before a week, OnePlus has declared about the development of its first USB Type-C headphones which will be released along with the next flagship smartphone in the next few months. The headphones are referred to as OnePlus Type C Bullets, which ensures to provide “minimal loss of quality for a superior audio outcome”. These headphones will deliver the sound using the USB Type-C interface rather than a regular 3.5mm jack. From this news, it is clear that the firm will absolutely ditch 3.5mm jack in its upcoming smartphone.
