WhatsApp for Android to get Swipe to Replay and Dard Mode feature soon

Since the last one year, Facebook has been constantly making a lot of improvements in WhatsApp. According to the WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp is working on Swipe to Reply feature in the Android app. The report also explains how the feature works and also mentions the latest beta version of the app which is 2.18.282.

The firm has already submitted a new update via the Google Play Beta Programme, which is bringing a beta version to 2.18.282. The report says that feature is not available just because of “development reasons” and it requires some of the essential changes before it is finally available on WhatsApp for Android users.

Swipe to Reply and other features

The WhatsApp iPhone app has already received this feature a few weeks ago, this means that feature will be soon available on Android devices. The latest feature will allow users to instantly reply to the message using the swipe right gesture. It simply means that you don’t have to click and hold the message to get the reply button. Moreover, the app is also working on Dark Mode feature.

As per the latest tweet posted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started working on a Dark Mode feature for both Android and iOS users. But, the report doesn’t provide any details about when it will be rolled-out on WhatsApp.

The forthcoming dark mode feature will reduce strain on user’ eyes while using the app at night or in low-light conditions. Also, it will save the battery of phone which consists of an OLED display.

How Swipe to Reply works?

Based on the video, the Swipe to Reply feature will allow you to reply to the particular message instantly by swiping it to the right. As soon as you do this, WhatsApp will directly load the message in the reply context. Hence, it will save your time and you can instantly reply to a message easily.

The report also states that the feature will be available in one of the next few updates.
